Documenting Debit Card Fee Practices

This site collects consumer receipts to document charges applied at point of sale that appear to be related to debit card use, and how widespread these practices are.

 

Receipt documentation helps reveal patterns in consumer pricing practices and supports transparency and informed discussion.  Documenting multiple receipts helps reveal whether these charges occur consistently across stores and regions.

 

At this time, analysis is focused on consumer checkout receipts from convenience stores and gas stations.
